Paihia Aquarium Restaurant
Come join us above the water on Paihia's waterfront at 35° South Aquarium Restaurant & Bar for a taste of Bay of Island's life. Enjoy dining above the water or grab a drink with us and watch the world go by. 35° South is the perfect spot to watch the Paihia Wharf where boats depart for the islands with a cold glass of wine or an award winning Toasted Espresso coffee.
Or indulge in a meal carefully prepared for you by our fantastic team of chefs while being looked after by our front of house team who just love to make you feel at home. Whether dining with a view out to the famous Waitangi Treaty Grounds or enjoying the underwater scenes in our 60,000 litre aquarium we are sure you will enjoy a true New Zealand dining experience here at 35° South.
Our menus have all been designed by Award winning TV chef Michael Van de Elzen to complement the superb location and views over the bay. We are lucky enough to have our fish line caught by local fisherman here in the Bay of Islands and along the rest of the Far North coastline.Whether you are after a breakfast to kick start your day, lunch to relax over or a dinner to enjoy while swapping stories of your travels the team of chefs lead by William Foote are here to tempt your tastebuds.
We offer a wide selection of New Zealand and Australian wines allowing you to match your meal with the ideal wine. Of course we can't forget a cold beer. We serve a mouthwatering range of beer including our very own 35° South Ale. And have recently added craft brewers Black Dog Brewery to our selection with their New Zealand Pale Ale, Chomp.
Our bar team love playing with flavours so feel free to request a cocktail, ask for some wine matching advice or just enjoy your much loved "usual" when you next pop in.
